Lol he doesn’t realize it. He has no concept of what love means because the adults who were meant to love him as a kid just abused him. So his understanding of love is so twisted around that he has to ask himself what that even means, which is what led him to think about one of his parents strangling him when he was a kid, so he gave her an answer based off that. I don’t even think he’s upset with her because she said she realized her feelings weren’t love, but mostly because he feels the rejection and distance she implemented with that letter.
Tbh I feel like he knows that he is just dragging her along for the ride, and in the end it's going to harm both his and her relationship in a toxic way before he realizes he has feelings for her
It’s not really purposeful, though. We’ve seen him question the meaning of love as well as his own feelings for her at least once after she confessed, and twice more after the fact. The flashback we’ve seen was meant for us to understand why that’s the answer he gave her
Ya I understand that part but knowing how the authors like to complicate the main characters relationships were probably going to see her move on and find someone else and THEN he realizes his feelings for her and then tries to get back together they ALWAYS PULL THAT SHIT!!
I doubt she'll move on to another man honestly. She just feels like the loayal type to me, emotion-wise. Someone could come on to her, but sher wouldn't be reciprocating it. Plus she just now decided to basically focus on her sister so she doesn't dwell in her broken heart.
