I like the idea but did they have to put THAT scene first?

right?? sometimes when BL start like this i say bye, but the "sorry" from the ML made me want to understand the situation

it's to set up a familiar trope (obsessive coercive top forcing himself on the bottom) only to subvert it, which then causes readers to have the same reaction as faun did. it's to provoke interest lol
