You've it backwards. Sociopaths tend to be nervous and violent beings, usually unstable. That's why they get caught very easily by the authorities.
Psycholaths are highly intelligent and adaptive. They can easily read other peoples emotions and use them to get what they want. They are very in control of their emotions so much so that even though thye lack sympathy for others, they can actually learn how to imitate those emotions to gain their goal. Authorities usually find it quiet difficult to apprehend them because they're careful and cunning.
