I agree that she did disrespect the master and servants. But to the point of isolation? If feelings were hurt, that should be communicated. Only emotionally immature people would isolate someone that hurt them without saying what they feel first. They are acting way too overdramatic.
You do know they are servants…??? How do you expect them to talk to a noble..? And besides, the butler was asking for a volunteer..?? No one wanted to volunteer… if he appoints someone surely they would go…
A letter? The butler asked for volunteers on purpose so they could choose not to go. Or they could talk in private, with one person telling her how they felt. It's not that hard.
… no this is a more realistic reaction. It would have felt force if she came back and they openly accepted her. They might be servants, but they have feelings too, and she trampled on them by disappearing.
I feel the Butler feels most betrayed because he was on her side from the one but he has to keep his emotions on check for his master.
If she wants to be the master of the home, she can no longer just pass by every day .
she has to step up and call all the servants in the house and talk to them give them a summary of why she did what she did . She has to let them have a little understanding so they can actually respect her enough to serve her without prejudice..
