They usually do. I can not stress that point enough. In my experience: if the mother cheated, the son typically forms distrust in love and disgust over cheating. If the father cheated, it usually results in sons that will also cheat with a skewed perception of love.
There's no clear path a daughter will follow (again, in my experience) but BOY do I run away when I found out a guy's dad cheated on their mom.
I feel someone studying psychology could tell what the that's all about.
