Lol that thought did cross my mind too but as a shoujo, the plot execution feels more fresh than it would as yaoi. Maybe coz I've read a couple of one-shots yaoi mangas with similar plots over the years
I would have to agree. Lately, yaoi plots are becoming a little bit recycled (?) for the lack of a better term.
But i kept on thinking that it would have been better if Risa-chan is a cute uke. Hahahaha
