yas! just hoping this one doesn't go down the harem route, can't stand multiple love interests, they're fine for building minor conflict and tension but if the existence is just to make it so the bland uke is wanted by multi guys for no substantial reason then it's meh.
Anyway, there's another one I believe where the MC is also transported into a game, I think it's a BL manga and like there's a scene where the characters are only limited to go to a certain area in the game so when the MC returns to the real world, their love interest waited for them there. The main conflict was some type of bug that destroys in-game characters and the MC had to avoid it otherwise he'll die for real and won't be able to go back, one of the side characters even had his lover killed by said bug and when he confronted it again, he sacrificed himself for the uke (and also to be with his dead lover)- don't know if you've read this one but I remember it being a decent read too.

I know you and WOOP already asked for the sauce, but I genuinely couldn't find it either. I tried going to my list and couldn't see it. I just remembered the end of the game was like this hill/road (think the typical residential roads in slice of life manga), they're attending highschool but the MC is a bit older in real life, and it was a beta test thing that led him to that game- something like he knows the programmer or he works for the company that made the game. It's completed too and was released within the 2020s I'll try to get back to ya'll if ever I do stumble into it again.
this type of plot with the virtual dating sim game totallyyyy reminded me of this manga https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/stack_overflow/ tell me if I'm wrong tho (-.-)
