It’s switching btw both the mothers past and the current one and the mother seemed to have named her daughter after her dead friends name that she killed which was somi and her daughters name was som I think

Oh shoot ur right it was sola mb i got really confused bc i saw a scene where she said somi but then i forgot who it was directed towards to so i thought it was her friend
i never realised that the mother’s “backstory (? im not sure how to describe it)” wasn’t the mc’s . i guess the mc really did look like her mother when she was younger , i think i could’ve been able to tell if i remembered the name of the mc , but looking back since they have the same last name it still would’ve been a little hard to tell? lol .
