im not sure tbh, im not educated enough and not chronically online enough to know if this is considered as grooming but as far as i know, since theyre both underage and children, the emperor is just obsessive and possessive.

In modern world settings? Sure. But the era this story was set on was on Medieval Era(Duchy) where children marriages and similar custom was fairly acceptable and permissible, but it's not a common practice even back then. And even if the Emperor married his spouse at an early age, they both need to be at the appropriate age to have a heir in order for their marriage to be consummated. Nobility from back then married not for love and sexual pleasures, but to strengthen their connections and political power.
So to use the word grooming, which was created not until the late 19th century is just pure stupidity and ignorant. Might as well accused every single European King from back then as pedo if people can't even be bothered to take their time to learn some historical facts.
