This comic is based off the comic of the same name. And yes the mom and dad do eventually divorce at the end.
Mom was actually in love with the Uke's dead mother. But during their time, homosexuality was not as accepted (still isn't).
I think the only difference with this and the novel is that the mom and dad got divorced and she was receiving therapy or medical help, right?
And like I said a few pages ago, the adults, especially that mom to me, was the biggest villain. Man, I need to reread my old post. I still agree with my past self after reading this again.
