You don't have to as they are pretty separated stories. They do follow the same timeline, so you will get more context for certain events or characters that appear throughout the story, but you wouldn't be lost without that info unless they cut things in this adaptation
No need to...in the Kiss Me Liar, they will not have much not until the ending but you can understand this story without reading that.
