It's think it's different when it's between 2 people you know like each other and are developing a relationship . It's kind of like he's also saying "I want to see you right now" but that's just how I saw it.
Yeah. Maybe I thought they are not yet close enough to be chatting like that. But if I'm wrong what you're saying is exactly how it should be understood.
"Where are you?" sounds a bit threatening... You better have a good answer why you're asking or else it'll sound creepy
