i can tell you don't work in a corporate place usually arriving 30 minutes before allows you to plan for the day, go through emails and make sure there are no remaining tasks that require your attention. It helps set out what you're gonna do for the whole day, rather than getting there at 9 and wasting time planning.
seems like corporate places are illogical since everything you described is in fact work :( sorry if you have to deal with this bs
yeah it's really stupid but it beats staying late and i've gotten used to it at this point
