So interesting to read this now, as one would think that would be concluded within a few more chapters. Instead p much everything happened within two or so chapters, so indeed it was a quick one (￣∇￣")

This "misunderstanding" Ends quickly. The red head (Catherine) was impersonating the Ibella (FL),
Continuing on, Ml went to the place that published the article, He was pretty mad and intimidating; While talking he expressed his anger and basically threatened them. The said place declares or tries to express that what they publish was real and they had real proof--
"Whose Idea was it to write such gossip as an official article?" - ML
"She had pink hair, the circumstances match!" -The article man.

Continue, "The Trevishi Newspaper will pay for what they did today"- ML
As showed, he threatened them TEHE.
Next scene after the ML v Treveshi arc, you can see that Fl went to visit Catherine and told her that Ibella (fl) knew that it was her that was impersonating her. Catherine continued to be oblivious/ Pretend she didn't know what Ibella was talking about.
"Did you enjoy Impersonating me?"- Ibella
"It's time to end this game, Catherine.
"...Are you taking your anger out on me because you are caught in a scandal?"- Catherine
The next scene there was a masquerade ball (People wearing masks type shii-) and the Fl, and Ml were wearing a whole ass disguise. They were trying to catch the impersonator (Cathrine). I'm not going to be specific just know that it ended and I was satisfy with the outcome.
