I kinda get what you mean but, there are smart people that even if they are super smart, they are kinda dumb and naive sometimes; and i think Abel is that kind of person. Plus he is always like that in the beginning, especially the one he tell the whole story to the council.

yeah but in the beginning i felt like he was faking how clueless he was!! he tricked everyone into thinking he was a dumbass when it was BS and he was actually really smart. but yeah very smart ppl can also be dumbasses haha like you're not wrong.

from the start Abel was incredibly smart but pretended to be dumb, so it does feel a bit off when he's being incredibly dumb right now xD
like he was so good at reading ppl and about reading the situation he's in, and pretending he's innocent and naive. so it feels off, because he's not pretending to be dumb, he's actually being incredibly clueless? which i get, like he was gone for 11 years...and maybe since the guy he got reincarnated into was very stupid that doesn't help him LOL
