He isnt a kid…( if u look back thst was a mistake on the translators part) also he seems more kid like cus hes more animalistic his need to eat and not stoping his wants makes him more animalistic and at times innocent cus he doesnt know much he does what he likes and takes what he needs (this is the only time hes unable to )
