I was already thrown off by how disgusting the antagonist was, but then at the most vulnerable moment mr. Sunshine main character who was supposed to be the one to show him he deserves kind, considerate and real love effing rapes him as well because he didn't get the answer that he wanted... (not that it was portrayed as rape of course, because duh, when they love each other it can't be rape /s) I really wanted to scream
it always throws me off when characters are written to be caring and loving and generally treat their love interest tenderly and then turn around and be completely inconsiderate of the person bottoming during sex. at some point, dude cried that he wasn’t ready and felt like his insides were tearing but the other guy kept going??? it’s both rapey and unharmonious in it’s storytelling. I’d understand if the intention was to show that there are 2 different sides to the guy but i didn’t get that impression here.
