Unless he has absolutely no brains and an iq less than 60 he should know.
Why do u think he got mad when dan got him a gift for his birthday?
It was because he didnt want dan to develop unessary feelings and just do a job as a good fuck.
Hes not a 5 year old child, he probably knows and is taking advantage of him.

I’m not saying that he’s probably not aware, because even when he was drunk, he told him why was he always getting under his skin. What I am saying is that’s not what
their relationship was about in the first place, so there was limitations on what could’ve been said or not. JK isn’t dumb but he’s self centered and cares about himself so he’s not going to think he’s in the wrong when he doesn’t know what’s wrong.

I'm not, but there should be at least a nudge into the right direction right? And there isn't... frankly it just keeps getting further and further away from a redemption to a point where a redemption for him just doesn't feel justified at this point. Are they probably gonna work it out, start dating or smth and become happy together? Yes, cause that's what the reader wants. Does it feel justified? No.

Even if that’s how the story is going to be, him and Dan haven’t communicated. The season is only a few episodes in and we have about 40 or even more. It doesn’t change the fact that JK doesn’t think he’s in the wrong until Dan tells him directly of how it is. The way he treats Dan isn’t justified whatsoever, it’s more of acknowledging the reason why he’s not apologizing because it’s very simple.

Join the club. At this point I sip my tea, adjust my glasses, and analyze what I read. Most of the readers read from the surface level.
I accidentally re-read older episodes and noticed the change. How aggressive JK was prior, even for the contract. And I noticed over time, he gotten more comfortable with Danny being with him. Hell, he was happy when he saw Dan sleeping peacefully on his bed next morning after Danny was overstimulated and drunk.
Before that, he already tried to get to know Dan by going against the contract and involving himself with Dan's personal life (e.g paying off his loans and his Grandmother's medical bills).
He's not bad, just an ass who doesn't know how to express his romantic feels he doesn't understand yet.

Hm...there's a comparison I can think of.
Have you seen Adventure Time?
There was an episode where Finn (MC) used Flame Princess (FL at the time) to give him wet dreams. When she found out, he said "sorry". Flame Princess didn't accept it and broke up with him. His reply "But, I said I was sorry..."
After a few seasons and reconnecting after a while, Finn explains that at the time he apologized but didn't mean it because he didn't really believe he did anything wrong and that's what she wanted to hear. But after being separated from her for a while and actually reflecting, he wanted to properly apologize for what he did and he was forgiven.
It could go a route similar to that because JK is doing what Dan says (Not touching/pulling), donating to his job, offering money without the sexual strings (e.i working that MMA again), but not actually understand why Dan refused and ignores him. To JK, "he said he was sorry", but not actually understanding what he's "sorry" for. So there's growth and it shows, but he needs someone to guide him what area to focus on.
Sorry that was long.

Okay first of all why are you in every comment thread that I am in, can you like please leave me alone? ╥﹏╥
Secondly, yes, that makes sense and if this were the route this is going I'd shut up immediately. See how you mentioned "a few seasons" though, which suggests a long passing of time. Now if THIS right now as koko mentions is already the redemption arc, that is just not the case. There hasn't been a long enough passing of time, Dan has obviously not healed and JK so far hasn't understood his mistake and by forcing himself into Dan's life just makes it worse, even if it may be with good intentions, but even that I doubt cause just look at how he speaks. Not once does he care about Dan, only about himself and his Jinx, and like "Yea I guess you can make money so it's a win-win" which, probably meant well, but delivered and executed in a way that just shows that he didn't understand anything which is necessary for a redemption to happen. Even if this is just the start of his arc it has to happen some what fast, because let's face it, this manhwa doesn't have enough of a plot to drag out the character development for longer than maybe a few chapters.
Now I don't think that this manhwa will have that many more seasons like adventure time did not to mention there wouldn't be enough content to make this that much longer, the author seems to already be reusing tropes from BJ Alex which to me shows that there likely isn't that much more original content to come (I saw someone claim this is the final season which I don't want to 100% claim is true, cause it was just another comment but, if it is true something really needs to happen, and soon).
As for the "Disney Effect"
The thing with media like movies, shows, comics, etc. is that their general nature is usually more fast paced. Unlike books where everything is explained in detail so the reader can vividly picture it in their mind and can lose themselves in their own fantasy a movie/comic already shows us the necessary picture material which means a lot less thinking and creativity in our own minds needs to happen. Furthermore these media are mostly dialogue based and said dialogue has to go along with the assigned picture (or in a movies case, the assigned animated/filmed material). This automatically makes the pace faster, because no one wants to look at a 3 minute still frame of a character while they read out their inner monologue; in that case why not just read a book? So it's less of a character development needing to happen within seconds, more so it needs to happen at a pace that is fitting for the medium it utilizes. I hope this makes sense, english isn't my first language so explaining this isn't the easiest thing for me to do.
This also got long, my bad.

Okay, I don’t think you’re understanding what my point is. All i’m saying is, and it’s very simple, is that JK doesn’t know what is going on. From his POV, he just thinks that Dan just left because he didn’t believe him about the whole incident that had happened. We know a lot from Dan (obvi since he’s the mc) but it has not been expressed to JK. This whole redemption arc of his is going to take time, it’s very slow
burn (said so by the author). But there has not been any communication between these two for that character development to even happen (for the both of them), because he hasn’t had a “reality check” from Dan. I already know it’s going to be very similar to BJ Alex, and how it’s going to end up. I hope you know i’m not defending JK in any way, but it’s really so simple and right in front of your eyes that he doesn’t know (also doesn’t care to know atm) of what’s going on between them since he’s not aware of how he feels. I believe that’s why he’s chasing after him and bothering him, because he sees this as something very easy and not serious, he’s not aware of the situation so he’s not taking Dan seriously.
i will let it go, but im not arguing or anything, and i understand what you’re saying trust me <3
God this comments are so annoying. you guys need to realize that JK doesn’t know how Dan feels. They never had to chance nor choice to open up about their feelings because that’s not what their contract was about in the first place. The author literally said this is his redemption arc, like give a rest. We know JK is an asshole and a self centered fuck, but jesus.
