Death won't let him be free from his misery, only love, support and understandment can. To let him rebuild his life. If you think about it, there's no way leaving their life full of regrets will give him any peace.
I love Idris, and has he not suffered enough? If death brings him peace, he should go ahead. I totally understand his reasoning. Dude has been raped, gang-raped, drugged, manipulated magically and psychologically to mass murder, saw his entire squad being abused, raped, killed and what not. LET HIM REST, EVEN IF IT MEANS DEATH!
