The difference is, this one doesn't pretend to be a "Master". She clearly lays out her terms, and pays them a salary. They're absolutely employees at this point. That's what Death is the only ending for a villainess got wrong. She played on to his needs of a master and allowed/persuaded his obsessive behavior. I DO NOT feel bad for what he did.
