Ryan is developing Lucaon's character growth as Kyon is a complete submissive in front of Lucaon and he doesn't appreciate Kyon because of it. So I'm not mad about it and I just love the fact that Kyon is portrayed as a strong and decisive individual when dealing Ryan and his interference. This is showing us readers, who are all used to seeing Lucaon walking over poor Kyon's feelings something worth cheering on for. The scenario captures Kyon's strength from his ability to defend his love being contrasted against Kyon's weakness which is practically always when he is around Lucaon. I personally hate relationships with 3rd wheel trying to interrupt their lovey dovey time, but I hate a weak passive uke who just goes with the flow (no backbone especially when it comes his love) even more. There's also a strong message being conveyed; being submissive to their lover does not mean that they are weak as a person. (⌒▽⌒)

He even showed up at Lucaon's bedroom staring into his Kyon's milked up starhole...Lol...And you have to wonder why he's still pushing it when Lucaon clearly told him he'll kick him out...besides Kyon did a wonderful job at defending their relationship, just like you said.
