Who's "our"? Rapiel chose Kloff even tho he noticed he never loved him. Yes, he died an unfair death, real sad for him. But he'll be happy in every life with Lord Wisteria or whatever his name is. Rapiel isn't the one who had to birth 6 children and see them being named after another man. He wasn't the one who was homeless and had to let himself be raped for a measly loaf of bread. He isn't the one living in the shadows of his past blaming himself every single day. He is living a good life with a good man who actually loves him without a trace of trauma. Whereas Aeroc would always remember. And you know what's the saddest part? Aeroc won't ever get to know true love. He is forever bound to a man who turned his first life into hell bcuz of his ego.
at this point i may be overthinking this but adding on to my previous comment. back to the ending scene UGHAHJWIDK aeroc bleeds red —> red roses —> he imagines the rest of them happy while he fucking suffers on their behalf GAHHHH FUCKKKKK
in writing… aeroc bleeds literally from his womb we all know that and he thinks “that’s right. i’m dying.” red blood…. red roses from the mansion he used to own… the red roses that he maintained, the pride and joy of his, now they’re under kloff’s ownership, but also, that field of red roses is aeroc’s imagined “heaven” or at least happy place. kloff is there, so is rapiel, so is all the children. aeroc knows he doesn’t fit in but he fricking built and sacrificed everything (his womb, body, blood, roses, life) for them to achieve the happiness he believes they deserve. none of it is his but he gave everything of his for them to have
AHHH FUCK
