I think we saw things differently. Lucy was only nice to Rebecca for her image. Like poor little Rebecca, who would be with Rebecca if not Lucy. Her last moment was just a display of her inner thoughts that she had the whole time of Rebecca. Plus, why did the 2 girls started blaming Rebecca out of nowhere. Lucy could have planted the idea in their heads, cos rmr she was the one who got the food instead of the girl who died. She felt that her good girl image would be threatened if anyone found out, so who’s the perfect scapegoat? The girl thats cold and rigid, an outcast, like Rebecca. I wouldnt put it past Lucy to do that cos she actually caused the other girl’s death. Also, why should Rebecca be thankful to Lucy for being nice to her. She was totally fine on her own.
And confronting Rebecca alone without the other 2 girls to insult Rebecca, girl really didnt want to destroy her good girl image.

so the mc choked out the only girl who befriended her and treated her decently, all because she dished what she couldn’t take. two stars never reading again.
