Trueee. I totally agree with you. Not being a hater or anything, Lee Minho is a great actor and I know he can play whatever character is given to him, but playing as YJH is just not it. Think about it, YJH's aura doesn't scream as though tired from work or anything, he had been through a lot like A LOT and it's more deep than just being depressed. Meanwhile Lee Minho's aura as playing YJH gives a different aura. I watched the trailer and I could tell, YJH is just not for him. I wish they consider first which actor would be able to have the same aura as the character. I guess we can give an example as One Piece... for me the actors has the same aura as the characters. Like Iñaki, he had the same aura as his character and it looked as if Luffy came to life.
I just hope they considered those kinds of things before dropping the bomb on us.
welp, real. totally agree with you too there are a lot of actors out there who would be a better fit for Yoo Joonghyuk. even at first, when they dropped the poster before the trailer and labeled it as ‘A Prophet' like bro, kdj isn’t even a prophet. i already knew this live-action adaptation wasn’t for me/us readers.
like fr- there are so many things they should have considered about the film. also, regarding Kim Jisoo as Lee Jihye, not even minding her using guns- but they couldn’t even consider giving her bangs? like they didn’t think about that at all
Trueeee!!! When I first saw the poster with a title of "A Prophet" I was like, "WTF was that?" I had a feeling it wasn't gonna be good then it even got worse when the trailer came out!!! And it's not just Lee Jihye (no hate to her) but even Lee Minho's hair style was like straight hair down style like I don't remember it being like that... I can't help but cry... I noticed how Korean live action tends to change the hair styles of the characters like for example Semantic Error but at least they give that BL's plot justice so it's fine... Japanese live action really do follow from the hair styles to even the vibe... For me, so far the live action adaptation I've watched so far is the Korean BL live actions... they at least do a great job when doing BL but sometimes fail so bad when it comes to popular action like ORV... I also heard they are planning to give Solo Leveling a live adaptation... I was like "nah bruhhh, leave Solo Leveling alone. The anime adaptation is enough, thank you."
I just don't want another flop like this to happen.

tbh, i don't even like live action even before whenever ive read novels, manhwas or mangas. but some of them were actually good though, like semantic error? (if u know about it) but this one is actually trashy and it's not my cup of tea. idc what some of u are gonna say but as a novel reader, im very disappointed. some of the fans of the actors/actresses doesn't understand us, of course they didn't read orv and it's easy for them to say that. also, i like gatekeeping masterpieces and i don't want this to even get live action anymore
