Cause it seems like the deliquent was in on it. Shishou got him to say those things to Todo in order to get Todo to sympathize with him. The deliquent walking away with the book shows that it was likely his own book, i.e., he's an otaku too. Lol.

The plot could easily be missed if you're not paying attention. I also do scanlation and it is very easy to miss things when you're working on it, rather than just reading it.

Lol don't let those end notes fool you: they didn't shave Todo's pubes. You can clearly see he still has them in one of the last panels. Shishou was shaving himself because he wanted to manipulate Todo into trusting him over their "similar insecurities." He planned the entire thing, and I'm pretty sure he knew that Todo would forgive him for raping him as well. At that point Todo was too reliant on him, and it would only be a matter of time until he crawled back. Hell, if Shishou himself hadn't said it was rape, I doubt Todo would even see it as such. What kind of guy says, "What I did was criminal and unforgivable," but then be okay with having sex right away? He wasn't remorseful at all. Shishou has been kind of dark since the beginning so I'm not sure why anyone is shocked by his actions?
