I'm hooked on yaoi manga, just today I have been on this site since I woke up. How do I get unhooked, it's a serious concern because I spent way too much time and my grades are falling behind my friends:( any advice? (/TДT)/

use yaoi as your reward for each time you spent 15 mins studying everyday instead

We have the same problem. I'm supposed to finish my degree but I got held back by half a year because of watching and reading yaoi.

i completely relate, I don't know how to get out tbh (≧∀≦) I guess I'll somehow bribe myself with yaoi-do your work and then you can read. It can motivate me to finish my work faster and if I do it really well, I get to spend more time reading

I use the Forest app in the playstore. It forces me to actually do my work. Cause when the tree dies, a small part of me die too.

I am in the same position as you. I am addicted and it starts to ruin my daily life, especially now that I am facing my final college semester. I am trying to reduce my time reading. I really like reading manga, yaoi in particular but I want to be moderate. It is a real problem so I really appreciate advice from fellow yaoi readers.

Oh man, this was my problem during this semester. Instead of studying, I would just read yaoi(it's just SO addicting!). So as my grades crashed down around me, I had to pull a miracle for finals week. I blocked mangago, since it's my main yaoi reading site. I used a google chrome extension called Block Site and so whenever i would type in mangago, I would have it redirect me to motivational images or even at one point my failing grades so that I would get my priorities straight. I got through finals without reading yaoi for about a week(hardest week ever!), but I did it. Make sure you block it on all places, bc I found that if I didn't block it on my phone I would just read yaoi on my phone. Idk about stopping yaoi completely, bc it's become so much a part of my life, but I've found blocking the site helps me to concentrate on other things for a little bit.

If you're someone that doesn't feel comfortable reading yaoi in public, you can go to a pubic place and study. Like a public library or a coffeeshop where there's lots of people so you would be too uncomfortable to read yaoi comfortably and so you can study in peace.

I also don't read yaoi if I'm over at my friend's place(bc they don't know!) so studying at a friend's place might be good.

Idk. The most important thing I think is how motivated you are. My motivation was I didn't want to fail my class and have to come back another year and so that lit a fire under my bum to stop yaoi for a bit. Gl and I hope everything goes well for you! :)
