I remember in the novel Ash’s friends were much more annoying and disrespectful in mentioning Hazel. This is more tone down than I thought.

In the novel they were so rude for bringing up his ex, completely lacking any social and common sense. Lyle was so hurt by it too. I’m glad the angst was short live b/c it’s hard to see them going through that.

Mind you it will get worse, he’s gonna hear them speak about hazel again and speak about IMPRINTING and how ash had to remove the imprint with surgery (none of this is true obviously) and it gets edgy (I love that part the most) it ends on a good note though!

^^ continuing off of that, one of Ash’s friends gave his number to his ex b/c he was begging for it AND HE GAVE IT TO HIM!! Like excuse me, they are done and over with. Not to mention they just met Lyle, and they did this andddd they have the nerve to say they feel guilty about it…. Lol I got too heated. The novel dives deeper into their characters which I really like. The readers are also able to read all of Lyle’s thoughts and concerns. ^^ yeahhh the ending is really good and wholesome.
