I agree, and it's beautiful to see their chemistry in the battlefield and their shared interest in swordsmanship. I feel like their chemistry was subtle, and I like that because I felt like it allowed them to build the relationship. I do think the confessions on both of their parts might have been a little rushed, but I think their chemistry is definitely there and not only in a romantic sense.
No chemistry? When the ml literally dropped down on his knees and was groveling tears and all for her. mind you he’s literally the emperor who could have anyone he wants. and yet he spends his free time writing letters to her asking about her wellbeing. Not everything is gonna be in your face
