Naaaaah cuz J actually manipulated mfs so he could finally die, 800 years was probably a lot and since a demon slowly dies when their name hasn't been called out or they're forgotten and the fact that Wald "cursed" him - he wanted to pass on the same trauma, the same yearning and woe to someone who will surpass his own maker, Makoto, and to die too which is why he's killing two birds with one stone on this one. The next person that Makoto catches, a succeeder, someone same as him back when he was first brought to hell — in other words, its another petty cycle of grooming someone so they can finally rest in piece.
