Sorry but I don't treat the fictional characters same as Real world human beings. They're just 2d figures to me. I do agree that they reflect societal situation a lot but I do separate reality from fiction while reading a story. And I still don't resonate with your pov. For me I find them both hateful equally. Maybe you're finding it harder cause the female characters being hated are the same gender as the reader(mostly women) and you're not finding the hate towards male that's serious cause it's us doing it and we mostly don't mean it or do playfully or rather we are not at the other end simply. But I am not liking them both on equal manner.

misogyny is the act of hating and looking down on women specifically
and misandry is dumb cuz yes some women hate men but it's not nearly as dangerous as misogyny that threatens women's lives on the daily
for example no one is sexually harassing men on the streets on a daily basis and at an alarmingly increasing rate
not to mention that femicide is also on the rise
our society is misogynistic by nature as long as we living in a world where patriarchy is more than prevalent and where hating women is the norm
misandry does not threaten men's rights or quality of life but misogyny has lots of negative effects on women

Misoginy and misandry are not equally represented bigotries in society precisely because we live in a patriarchial society. Both men and women suffer under parriarchy, but differently. I'm not saying that women cant perpetrate violence against men, that is a patriarchial belief. When a women assaults a man or a boy, she will most likely get away with it. In a patriarchial society men are perceived as always wanting sex. So if thex get assaulted, nobody believes that they were assaulted because people think they must have wanted it. That is not misandry, that is patriarchy. Men are not widely seen as inferior to women. That is why there is no such thing as systemic oppression of men. A select few unhinged radical feminists who think all men should die do not change that fact. They are a fringe Group and it should stay that way. Hatred of men still isnt okay, I'd never say that. I'm not peepee drinker. I'm saying that men do not get treated the same way as women in our society.

most violence and contempt towards men comes from patriarchy, so there isnt a male equivalent to misogyny. In a patriarchal society men are expected to be violent and sexually agressive. Not because men are inherently evil. But when you are raised to believe all your life that women are inferior, this is how you start treating them. And then some women come to the conclusion that men are responsible for all the evil in the world and shouldn't exist. That is a very dumb conclusion to come to. This is what happens when you analyse everything at face value.
