This basically laying ground work for so many schemes by Cale. The significance of the magic tower magicians, the items they collected there (that Cale know about when he read the book as KRS) will be later revealed.
They are about to meet an ancient Dragon that will join their crew and take a significant role in the future as well.

I don't quite understand what he's planning to do here. I'm somehow a bit lost into the story. All I remember was going to see another dragon? (￣∇￣") But then it's back to magic tower, that I forgot it existed LOL
