I can’t feel bad for empresses when I don’t have a full picture of what’s the norm. Like is it the norm for the emperor to have mistresses? Did he have a lover before he was forced to marry the empress? Did the empress scheme and manipulate her way into becoming the empress? Does she even love the emperor? Normally, the answer to all these questions don’t support me feeling bad for them. All I know about the woman is that she has an incompetent son and that she was poisoning her own husband for power. She’s got it coming.
I feel a little sad for the empress, don’t get me wrong I know she’s the villainess in the story , but I feel bad that she has been cheated on :(
