oh yeah i feel ya. i thought the bet was gonna play a big part in their changing relationship too but ig it’ll never happen? no way they try to resolve every plot hole in these side stories instead of the main :/
when the way it’s heading i don’t even think they will resolve it at all… but again i have no idea where this story will go
tbh i still have a bitter taste in my mouth
1. The unresolved lies about the scam stocks the top used to gather pity points from the bottom. (btw i don’t mind him gathering pity points when it’s pretending to be cute or asking about the cats, or when he broke his arm since these are things that actually happened or using info he learned to get his crush to like him ) but the stock scam was kinda serious and he should have admitted it due to how heavy a topic like that is.
2. like it’s clear giving him the stock money wasn’t a good thing. the author even goes out of their way to show the top being uncomfortable and not satisfied after lying, WHICH i’m glad they did as it showed him still using old habits to get what he wants and no longer feeling the pleasure of doing so!! but i feel like it would have been a better end to that arc if they allowed the bottom to return the money to the top and for the top to also admit it was never the bottom's stock money but his…
3. bro, what about the bet?? they played it into so much without a resolution, they even had the added moment with the top friends and everything and nothing happens?? PLUS the top friends never apologize properly!!
lastly, the top always talked about his feelings and how he felt when he was rejected by the bottom but bro FORCED these things (items and dare i say affection) on the bottom but never once asked how the bottom how HE felt or his feelings (& even when he was told the top only got defensive) the top only ever thought about the bottoms feeling when he was a sobbing drunk in a self pity puddle…
I get the bottom is a major pushover but they had scenes where it showed him questioning these lies and fighting back by not giving in/ignoring till he got an apology, i figured this showed that maybe the bottom had more nontolerance for bs & that this would lead into a major confrontation about every lie that’s been told in this damn story! BUT that never happened therefore it’s just leaving an unsatisfactory ending in my mind personally… (I still enjoyed the cute scenes and the clingy top but i just wanted a conclusion on the lies)
