real, tbh the most of those authors just copy off what's trending, and the other readers just keep making those types popular because of their engagement (whether they hated or not)

They’re lowkey also all the same plot too. 7’4 mafia oligarch alpha blonde daddy holds hostage & rapes a dude ALWAYS smaller than him who has severe debt. Then somehow the victim forgives him??? How!? he doesn’t even have any redeeming qualities. Fr so often authors forget to give these guys an actual character other than being sadists & rapists. I can understand liking “dark romance” to a certain extent but bffr so often the stories are just the same recycled garbage w shit plots. Just trauma porn with a happy ending for the sake of it.
People srsly need to stop reading ts. A lot of the engagement of these stories comes from people hating on it, which proceeds to make it more popular and then the algorithm shoves ts onto everyone’s featured page… making it even more popular and the cycle repeats. Please for the love of god stop commenting on the stories and making them popular. I kinda like the rape that traumatizes me because at least then I know the author wrote the rape properly and is depicting it how it should be. Anything else is trash. This is why I don't touch popular manhwa these days if I want something serious to read because I just know no one is gonna take a sexual assault seriously. And it's not even about "oh its fiction, who cares" it's more like, its fiction, so out of all the creative fcking ideas you could've used to develop the story, you thought rape is cute?

I agree, I don't think writing about rape is bad, it's more about *how* it's written. And people need to realize that fiction does affect reality to some extent.
Writing about rape is not necessarily bad thing, but I'm sick and tired of seeing main couples in BL having non-con scenes. Consensual non-con is fine, but I'm not beating my meat to a top tearing the bottom's anus. I'm not gonna root for them if one of them raped the other. It's weird that they forgive each other so quickly and it usually ends up happily. That's just weird imo.
