The king wanted to have the doctor and tru the demon telling him to kill all the others so he would be king and get everything that he wanted(his hyung). Bc why should a pleague and misfortune break out just bc he became a normal king.

Omg guys i‘m Reading the First chapter again and the Doctor is looking at an old antique box… maybe it has to do With demons/possession of the body… it’s kinda crazy what out notice when you reread it
