One more thing I personally don’t like about manhwa community is that… please stop cancelling the artist when they picked up the manhwa that previous artist dropped. The previous artist must have their own reason as why they are dropping the series and the new artist tried their best. Not too mention people are cancelling them is too brutal. Either keep reading it or stop. Of course people can tell their opinion of not liking the new art style but there is no need to bully the new artist

i think its the pov aspect for the reader, like how a lot of shoujo has plain female mcs for readers to self insert and relate to, as most of the BLs cater to the female readers, ig a lot of them as kept as a self insert thing than transcends the gender aspect. i share the same hatred as you lol but yeah i think this might be the reason, it's the same for me in shoujo as well

My personal opinion is that… Chinese authors always have a unique ideas but at the same times didn’t try to push the limits. I always think that korean BL authors wanna test how far the boundaries of the story they could write. But the Chinese authors make the cliches i to unique piece of works. I don’t even remember how many times i reread global examination
This is why I can’t read most shojous and mainstream bl I hate self insert mcs I can only read manhwas/mangas where the mc is my fav character
THISS also they write with an actual plot in mind and I feel like a lot of Korean BL are just tropes and smut, even danmei where the main focus on romance still has so much plot that makes it interesting to read, also Korean BLs focus on the seme meanwhile danmei devlop both the mc and ml
