Except I think he's done it himself? Protecting taekyung from the mom by keeping hostage but you mentally and physically torture him till he looks dead. Kind of counterproductive.

I mean - but I don't get Taekyung at this point either - I could get it if he actually never felt anything but duty towards Heeseo and was always only burdened by him, and actually always just wanted to get away, but supposedly that's not the case?
I really don't get what the author is trying to do now - it had so much drama potential, and now I have no idea how are we supposed to even like anyone here except for the brother...
She's trying to have him killed and he's holding him hostage to protect him until he deals with her. Not saying all the fucked up shit he's doing is ok just saying I knew there was a reason for this instead of just holding him hostage.
