That child beared her resentment and hatred the moment he was born. In fact, the dude was a result of what Somin was. I don't agree with your statement, I find it hard to be empathetic towards her.
I hope that man gets exactly what's coming to him. Forcing a pregnancy on her is incredibly fucked up. Fuck him. Is she a good person? Absolutely not. But I can see and understand the anger she feels towards her husband and son. It's unfortunate what happened to the son, but I completely understand why she did it.
