^^ I don’t think he meant it literally that they ever did anything. I believe he meant it in a way that he has to go on all these dates with higher class woman, according to his mother’s wishes. And so the secretary wants what his mother wishes for, so I assume she’ll do anything, that includes making giving him a deal to investigate his rival in exchange for doing as his mom wants
