Well probably bc kashima is a boring character. Clearly the author doesn't root for him in the slightest. She's given yacchan so much development so I don't understand why people are convinced kashima is gonna end up with toono.. toono x kashima would be a very stereotypical yaoi couple and knowing the author , she wouldn't settle for that. Especially since she already put so much effort into yacchan's character and the development between him and toono.

If Toono have as much effort and development from the author he too would not be "boring". A character is Boring when the author doesn't know how to deal with it or because the author underdeveloped them or in extreme case the author forget this character ever existed in the first place.
That's why I said the author doesn't give him a chance and why it's unfair because Toono's character is mostly inexistent.
In that case the dynamic between Toono/Kashima/Yacchan is not a love triangle and the dynamic between them is misleading.
But I'm still team kashima
