She ultimately breaks away from the marriage and chooses to take over the guild, becoming its leader. The male lead initially supports her, and over time, he realizes his feelings for her. About 40 chapters later (though I’m not entirely sure), readers will discover that her father is actually alive. He had been saved by a tribe on a small island, and they managed to rescue him and bring him back. This revelation is a relief because, unfortunately, the Duchess—who is the male lead’s mother—is dead, and I would have loved to see more of her in the story.
