And I don't want everyone to be too hard on Akira because there are people who are just not strong enough and get overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. I'm that kind of person too, I get freaked out about every little thing and get really really scared sometimes thinking too much. Like really scared how my life is going to be.
I think he had to go through that to really enjoy his time with Yuuki again.
And Yuuki was so forgiving and understanding.

Well, those kind of feelings will, if not dissolve, be dulled by time (unless Akira becomes a true asshole and leaves him again). Akira has to feel responsible for the effects of what he did so if we assume that they have a happy ending, the conflict you said has got to be solved somewhere along the way.
The plotline is so fresh. Akira was selfish as fuck but to be honest, that's human nature and this happens to almost everyone. What's beautiful about this is that after Akira's mistake, their bond will be stronger and he would be more convinced that Yuuki is the cornerstone of his life. I agree that the development was kinda rushed though :)
