Honestly, I can relate to Misaki so much so I don't really see him being a red flag, it's really human and natural to feel that way, constantly trying to improve your work and being compared to someone who is seen as better than you obviously would lead to some sort of inferiority complex
Misaki by himself is fine as humans are a mix of good and bad and his struggles are genuine. But when we're in a relationship with someone we love, we have to make sure not hurt them over what has a solution.
