Your saying there isn't much of a difference, but this isn't even the same artist. I'm not saying the art is horrendous, but by comparison to what we had previously it is on many levels worse.
The lightning/rendering is less moody.
The characters frequently go off model.
The new artist has difficulty with dynamic poses like running or anything with perspective.
Is has very basic panelling with less interesting changes and FX.
It may be less noticeable when you are going through from start to beginning, but seriously with a critical eye compare chapter 26 side by side to chapter 14.
When the blue beta in ch26 grabs the ML's shirt, looks shocked and then points and yells about an apology he is posed honestly pretty badly. His hands are too big or drawn oddly, the perspective is off, his basic body structure is weird.
I feel bad for the new artist, to be honest, because they likely don't have enough experience under their belt and are probably being rushed. Apparently, the last artist left because they weren't getting paid, so I also hope this one isn't going through all this crunch just to get strung around about getting paid.

To each their own, if its that bad stop reading?
Like its really not that bad, sure they could use more practice but thats what makes making comics fun? Not everything has to be perfect all the time.
Y'all have just been super blessed to have detailed, dynamic comics that if someone small starts creating/drawing a comic y'all get mad over it.
Just stop reading if its that horrendous to you. Y'all will literally put people off on reading stuff because you complain about a MINUSCULE details.
Nothing will be as drastic as some art that you can tell. The artist kept the consistent art style, sure they go off a bit but not much. That's just nitpicking at this point.

I never said to stop reading because the art got worse. I'm just saying, by an objective standpoint, it has dipped in quality compared to before.
To say that there's basically no difference is factually incorrect.
I even said I felt bad for the current artist because they are likely being put under crunch time that makes their art rushed and they might get screwed over by not getting paid properly by the people who hired them.

This isn't some indie comic that a small artist is creating with love. This is produced by a company who allegedly treated their previous artist poorly and didn't pay them and is now shoving that onto a more amateur artist who would be more likely to put up with being taken advantage of.
Also people had complaints about the plot way before the art change. I had seen comments for a while now that expressed that they didn't like the plot. Had nothing to do with the art.
It's perfectly fine to have criticism for the media you consume, especially if it's indicative of bad practices that actually hurt artists.

I totally get that. But this and that are different things, everyone complaining about the art without knowing anything is why artists eventually (depending on circumstances) give up on art.
Whether this artist is doing a bad job or not they are telling a story and objectively that is why people are complaining.
It's a subtle difference in art unless you are trained in art or an artist yourself most people won't notice a difference and that was the reason for my comment.
Alleged allegations aside, I hope the artist doesn't see any of these comments.
I'm going to mute this now because for once, the art isn't bad nor is it terrible quality or downgraded. Everyone complain when it's not perfect.
I don't know why everyone is complaining the art is perfectly fine. There's really not much of a difference.
