the issue is some people are extremely hostile and aggressive about the author. like saying they need to be on fbi list. its ridiculous. even huge shounen have problematic tropes(shounen, sexualising minors) but shoujo gets policed so much

What?? Shounen has always been heavily criticized and the male fans get called gooner weirdos all the time (as they should) women that have this problem when they are criticized. Shoujo and bl has much more field to have atrocities cause women are seem (and in fact are) less violent than men.
