Umm... Hard Pass. Ash is being considerate. You quote comfort like that's not what's happening. Karlyle doesn't properly express himself so allot of his emotional queues is picked up by the readers because of Ash's change of tone or Karlyles inner monologue.
That "innocence" comes from years of working as the heir to a family that forces you to report everything about your sex life and chooses the partner for you to being with the man you love. Most of the time, Ash is trying to figure out Karlyle because he wont express how he feels. When your learning something new everything feels "naive"
tbh, ash might not be as bad as some of the other tops out there, but i still dont think hes a good match fore lyle. like the way he "comforts" him is so off putting. sometimes hes unnecessarily aggressive and then hes just passive, make up ur mind. logically this relationship would never work out. i get that this is supposed to be a sub dom type of thing, but it really doesnt come of as that. its more like a really naive bottom just going along with the experienced top and i have to say, that chapter when lyles like, 'im not good enough for you', ash doesnt even try to refute that and just goes 'i love u'. excuse me?
