@Xian I don't agree that reading this will normalise paedophila. Although I was the one to bring up ethnocentrism, I _do_ judge real life cultures (especially if they are current) that take advantage, manipulat... LongJohnDoughnut

You may not agree with me but it’s been proven numerous times. Think about who the majority of the audience for this content is? Once they find others who indulge in this freakish content, they begin to think they aren’t weird for liking it and end up creating safe spaces for other pedos in the mix. Just because you’re on the perpetrator’s side and don’t see how it affects actual minors, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen? Take for example KPP, the super popular Japanese idol who would call herself a shotaon and then make gross remarks about her underage back-up dancer regarding how he was “hitting puberty” and how she was finding him “attractive” and wanted to “sleep and cuddle” with him…. (a 12 yr old btw)

And also I never once mentioned any characters in this series and whether they were grooming or not. I honestly don’t give a single flying fuck what’s happening in that shit ass manga anymore. I read the first chapter, saw a child being wedded and kissed and dipped the fuck out. The characters as a concept and the storyline are not the main problem. It’s about the author intentionally making the “male lead” a child just because they knew creating this content would be a good shota goon bait.
And all these sick fucks enjoying this exactly for that purpose. If the author was so anti pedophilia why not just make the king idk… an adult from the start?? Don’t get me wrong taboo/dark topics can definitely be implemented in a story in good light… this is just not a good example of it lol..

I don’t think this is the worst of them that they are. Yes, it’s one of the milder ones but it doesn’t make it ok. OP who you are glazing in the comments is literally reading Shota Oni?? Which I think is wayyy more off the charts since it’s literally about a highschooler finding potential romance interest in an elementary schooler.. Why do they feel comfortable reading that? Because the author made the content and fans who like that shit are hyping each other up in the comments to normalize it, which in turn does. There are forums, Twitter spaces, and other online platforms that the fans of this kind of content flock to share positive feedback which in turn helps turn fans into creators and it cycles. If you’re blind to literally just look at all these comments saying “if you don’t like it don’t read it”. Ok and then what? These creators or potential creators will only see the positive so then they think this content is okay. Like I said I don’t comment on shit like this, but yall was not cooking someone for being anti-pedophile on my watch lol that’s genuinely insane. Also I don’t mean to come off strong on you as you seem to be more acknowledging of your earlier mistake with the ethnocentrism and clearing it up, it’s just with deranged people like OP, words of calm never get through their thick skulls.

All I’m gonna say is thank you and it’s so nice to see a sane person agree with me and I’m so glad I didn’t mute this comment section or I wouldn’t have seen this (I truly gave up on trying to explain... Ida
