YESSS this is exactly what I felt like exactly and was gonna say but yea I also surprisingly also really liked the manga too since most cosplayers I’ve seen on the media have done these types of of shoots so I wasn’t surprised when whatever type of skin was showing but I really liked how our mc is slowly changing kanna (I think that’s how u spell her name) since the more u read the chapters u can see her start doing less lewd type of photo shoots with her other than personal photos she took by herself and not being put up for sale
It's very much interesting, the cosplay talk, the characters, what they do, and their goals are all surprisingly realistic in this day and age, especially thinking about how the MC and the Closer is both just in college! The twt/SNS stuff is something you normally don't see, especially depicted that realistically!! (For now)
Though I'm not sure how exactly this is entirely "male-gaze" centre. I actually relate to the MC about the geeking out about how she loves her character in a series and have overflowing love and understanding of their character first before cosing the character... It's like how I am with my yuri series'. But again, I did feel it was still somewhat of a HUGE fanservice manga, but not specifically "male gaze" centered. If you want a male gaze manga, read "Black Lily and White Lily" lmao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
