That’s what I thought, in his position it is better for him to know more than less. Kwak is putting him into danger by withholding information, pretty much making higher ups focus on MC.

Dr. Seok's willful attitude can be admiring if only at the right time and right place.... Tbh, i know Kwak is right but for whatever reason I wanna support Dr. Seok.... Maybe it's better for him to know some things so he won't trust the wrong person.... Like you know, the researchers near him?
