In olden times whole families down to the pets would be executed if a family member committed a crime like treason. If someone from a village committed treason, they sometimes killed the whole village. Our world is just as cruel. This happens in some places still.

Yes, this can and still happen which is so sad. I was talking about the unspoken rule of war, that in most cases, usually applies. But there's always cruel humans in disguise
Oh also just in case someone think of "so you defend Karas and justify what he did?", I don't agree with what he has done nor I want to be in his shoes to experience what he's feeling. Please note that he's a fictional character, you can dislike him all you want, just like I can enjoy the story and still liking his character despite that scene. But if this happen in real life, which is really happening btw, I will speak up about it and publicly say I'm against this, because it affect real human and not a fiction story

In war, medics, woman and children should never get hurt. But it's by the logic of OUR world. However it seems that it's different in this world and Karas isn't an ordinary human with lack of empathy because he's a dragon
